Thank
You
for
visiting
addfitness.com.
I’m
John.
I
am
“us”.
I’m
the
webmaster,
market
specialist,
site
analyst,
editor
and
publisher
of
the
web
site.
I
started
this
web
site
because
I
wanted
to
demystify
the
fitness
lifestyle
perception
to
others
who
are
like
me.
I
live
in
a
world
of
filled
schedules
and
“to
do”
lists
that
include
deadlines,
meetings,
un
paid
overtime,
day
care
pick
ups,
little
league
drop
offs,
swimming
lessons,
girl
scout
meetings
and
anything
else
you
can
think
of
that
fills
our
lives.
I
am
married
to
a
wonderful
woman
and
a
father
of
two
great
kids.
During
the
day
I’m
a
director
for
a
well
known
technical
firm.
My
career
requires
me
to
commute
an
hour
each
way
to
and
from
work
and
stay
late
at
least
2
to
3
days
a
week.
I
also
check
my
emails
late
at
night
and
on
weekends
(even
though
I
keep
telling
myself
I
won’t
anymore).
About
5
years
ago
I
lost
my
breath
and
felt
like
I
was
going
to
collapse
while
chasing
my
3
year
old
daughter
around
my
house.
I
was
embarrassed
because
I
was
tired
after
5
minutes
of
running
around
and
could
not
play
anymore.
I
thought
to
myself
“I
am
only
31
years
old.
Why
do
I
feel
this
way?
This
is
pathetic!”
I
decided
right
then
and
there
that
I
was
going
to
change.
That
was
my
“wake
up”
call.
I
took
inventory
of
myself
and
I
started
working
out
and
toned
down
my
diet.
I
even
hired
a
personal
trainer
for
a
few
sessions
to
help
me
get
started
on
the
right
track.
I
felt
better
about
myself
and
I
have
been
working
out
5
–
6
days
a
week
ever
since.
I
am
now
36
and
I
feel
I
am
healthier
than
I
was
at
25
years
old.
One
problem
I
always
had
deciphering
all
the
information
on
health
and
fitness.
I
love
reading
the
muscle
magazines
and
reading
about
the
latest
diets.
One
thing
you
must
know
is
the
fitness
industry
is
big
business
and
our
media
loves
pointing
us
in
scattered
directions.
We
are
sold
on
every
new
fad
that
hits
the
streets
and
are
made
to
be
wrong
when
we
do
not
follow
the
“New
Great
Thing”
perfectly.
I
am
a
perfectionist
at
heart,
so
these
marketing
tactics
have
a
big
impact
on
me.
I
always
felt
I
was
doing
something
wrong
because
we
are
told
so
many
times
by
the
exercise
and
diet
books
we
purchase
that
we
have
to
do
things
perfectly
or
the
program
will
never
work.
I
wanted
to
give
up
on
many
occasions
because
I
was
frustrated
because
I
always
concentrated
on
the
negative.
I
saw
the
need
for
balanced
and
informative
web
site.
So
addfitness.com
is
now
part
of
the
internet
community.
I
hope
you
find
what
you
are
looking
for
and
most
of
all
I
hope
you
add
fitness
to
your
busy
lifestyle.
