Get Rid of Body Fat - 3 Tips for Eating Out for Dinner to Make Dieting
More Convenient
One of the biggest complaints about dieting to get rid of body fat is that
it is so inconvenient, especially, when we are invited to go out to dinner.
While, it’s tough enough to keep on our diets when we prepare our meals from
home, some of us feel socially out of place when we go out to eat.
The reason of this is that going out to dinner can invite negative thoughts
and open you up to eating bad and blowing your diet.
If you are trying to get rid of body fat and you are invited to go out to
eat, then by all means you SHOULD go out to eat. If going out to dinner is
part of your life style and you can’t stay away, then don’t worry about it.
Just think of these things when you go out to eat for dinner.
Make it a cheat meal or set ground rules
If you know you are going out to eat ahead of time and you know it’s a place
you absolutely love to eat at, then plan for that meal to be a cheat meal.
This is the absolute best way to handle a meal out. A cheat meal provides a
mental break from your eating menu.
Your other choice is to make healthier food choices by setting a few simple
ground rules before you go to the restaurant. Some good rules to follow are:
eat no bread at the meal, substitute soda for diet soda or water, you can
order a meal that’s simple such as chicken with vegetables. Try to stay away
from starchy carbohydrates such as mashed potatoes, or you can also ask to
have half the meal wrapped before it’s served to you. If you follow these
rules then you efforts to get rid of body fat will pay off.
Be the first person to order at the table and do not change your order.
There are two advantages to this. The first advantage to ordering first is
that you’ll procrastinate less. If you think about what you are going to
order for a long time there is a good chance you’ll justify to yourself to
eat unhealthy.
The second advantage to ordering first at the table is that you are not
persuaded to choose an unhealthier choice as you hear the other choices.
Keep to your eating routine before and after you go out to eat.
Your main goal when trying to get rid of body fat is to keep your metabolism
going. One way to keep your metabolism on the move is to eat a protein
source every two to three hours. Keep up with your regimen so you are less
hungry when you arrive at the restaurant.
As you can see there is no reason to avoid restaurants when you are trying
to get rid of body fat. Dieting can be stressful enough. So going out to eat
to relax and have some fun should not be something you feel bad about.
